Blog 04

This blog is about Project 4 and I outlined the design challenge for this project according to my research.

Frame
Design Challenge

What is the problem you’re trying to solve?

With the expansion of Internet usage and cybercrime technology becoming more complex, more and more people are suffering from online fraud, which caused economic losses and psychological issues. The leakage of personal information is a key factor in online fraud. The emerging scam’s manner also makes people very hard to detect.

Take a stab at framing this challenge as a question:

How might we help people avoid falling into the trap of online fraud?

Now state the key outcome you’re trying to achieve:

People can protect their personal information from being leaked out and used by others. They can be alert and detect that it is a scam when they encounter an online fraud, to avoid economic loss and mental shock.

Write down important aspects of the context or constraints that you need to consider:

People’s personal information is easy to leak out on the internet.
Fraud methods emerge in an endless stream due to the concealment, low cost, fast speed of spreading. It is difficult for people to identify and prevent because online fraud usually makes use of psychological weaknesses. Even after being cheated, it is hard to recover.

What are some possible solutions to your design question?

What if there is a way that can remind people of new methods of online fraud through propaganda. What if people can experience how fraudsters defraud through the game, then they can avoid being deceived.

Does your original design question need a tweak? Try it again.

HMW avoid information breach and identify online fraud before being cheated.
