This is a book designed by the German graphic design studio Vierkant. The book is locked in a slipcase made of a silver-colored chain link fence. Readers must destroy the outer fence before reading the book.

The whole book has 160 pages in the visible part and 138 pages in the hidden part. Readers must cut up the pages to see the hidden pages and gain insight into a shadowy world in the fence.

This flag book illustrates a poem by Michelle Wong which uses a car crash as a metaphor for the breakup of a marriage 10 x 10 cm.

This is a wonderful hand-made photobook conceived and executed by Yoshikatsu Fujii, which embodies the artist’s search for wholeness and unity that he lost after his parents’ divorce.

He said： “My family will probably never be all together again. But I feel without a doubt that there is proof inside of each of us that we once lived together. To ensure that the red string that ties my family together does not come undone, I want to reel it in and tie it tight.”

The book is decomposed into two parts, which means the divorced relationship between the artist’s parents. Readers can read both sides separately, although they are two separate parts, Fujii creatively connects them. Yoshikatsu Fujii closely connects the memory of his family with the special meaning of the red string. From the wedding photo on the cover to the separated inner pages and the red string interspersed, we can feel that the artist wants to convey to us the helplessness of parting which is silent and profound.
